Chamber Committees

Business With Boomers+ Committee

Meets: Second Tuesday in September / November / January / March / May from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 am

Purpose: Business With Boomers+ strives to offer programs and information to chamber member businesses on how to better promote to and reach the senior market and their families, and networking to committee members. Also offer information that is pertinent and timely and that will increase the senior’s awareness of health, safety and leisure offerings available to them while providing business opportunities for chamber member businesses.

Benefits: Meet and network with those that provide services or information to seniors, while marketing your business to that target audience, other chamber businesses and to have the opportunity to stay current with the latest issues and ideas that affect that market in our area

Responsibilities: Attend meetings, offer your ideas, promote and support projects to those you connect with, and assist with projects requiring your assistance.

Projects Include:

  • Networking event for businesses targeting senior customers/clients
  • Community Involvement and Outreach opportunities as they become available

Community Development Committee

Meets: As Needed for Project

Purpose: To provide an avenue for Chamber members to promote and learn about efforts, projects and ways to give back to the community that they live, work and do business in.

Benefits: The opportunity to support your community, promote your efforts and initiatives, while making a difference.

Responsibilities: Attend meetings, offer your ideas, promote committees projects to those you connect with, and assist with projects requiring your assistance.

Projects Include:

  • Promote Member Community Projects & Blood Drives
  • Annual Baby Shower After-Hours, April 2011
  • Flu Shots, November, 2010

Economic Development/Government Relations Committee

Meets: Fourth Wednesday of the Month, 8:00 am – 9:00 am

Projects: Developing proactive agenda, monitoring all issues affecting living, working and doing business in the B-CC community.

This Is For You If: You want to help shape the Chamber’s economic development and public policy roles.

Membership Development Committee

Meets: Second Tuesday of the Month, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 am

Projects: Targeting key companies, membership retention and recruitment, Quick Connect (new member orientations), Annual Membership Drive, and Ambassadors program, etc.

This Is For You If: This committee is for those who believe in the chamber, its activities and mission and want to help make it stronger and grow.

NextExec Committee

Meets: Second Wednesday of the Month, 4:00 pm

Projects: Planning and execution of events and programs targeting the Chamber’s young professionals providing networking, professional and personal development and community outreach.

This is for you if: You’re a young professional interested in helping plan the BCC NextExec events and programs.

Real Estate Committee

Meets: Fourth Wednesday of the Month, 9:15 a.m.

Projects: Focuses on current and future real estate projects and issues., highlighting various new projects in the area. organizes the Chamber’s Annual Real Estate Update.

This Is For You If: You’re interested in learning about the ongoing changes in commercial, retail and residential real estate in the community.

Special Events Committee

Meets: As Needed for Event

Purpose: The Special Events Committee plans, develops and promotes special Chamber events throughout the year, including Annual Fall Legislative Gala, Golf Classic, Business Expo and the Annual Installation & Awards Dinner.
